Storyboard Text

  • Antigone is arguing with Ismene about going to bury their brother. Ismene says that she won't help her because the penalty of the crime is death.
  • I'm going to do it!
  • Creon starts to explain his law to the townspeople. A guard soon comes to interrupt him saying that someone has tried to bury Polynecies. Creon gets very angry and tells him to go find the person who has done it.
  • My friends...
  • The guard returns with Anotigone who is pleased with her crime. She argues with Creon but then he gets angry and decides to send her and her sister to be locked up.
  • I have found her!
  • Haemon, Creon's son, tries to convince Creon into not killing Antigone. Creon becomes very angry and explains that it can't be any other way. Haemon then explains that if he kills her someone else shall die. Creon decides that Antigone shall be locked up and starved to death.
  • Then she must die. But her death will cause another.
  • The civilians are now showing pity towards Antigone. She is very upset with her father because she believes that he is the reason for her death. In the end of this scene the guards are taking her to be locked away.
  • You must come with us!
  • Teiresias tries to warn Creon about the gods, because they have become very angry. Creon goes to free Antigone but finds his son dead by her hung body. He becomes very sad only to return home to find his wife Eurydice dead too.
  • The Gods have cursed me!
