This is so stressful! Inverse operations are confusing me,do you think you can help?
Of course I can, we'll go over it step by step
6(x-3) +10= 2(3x-4)
So first we need to distribute 6 into x which is 6x and we have to distribute 6 with -3 which is -18 then there's 10 the constant ,which stays the same
So were left with 6x-18=10.Then we solve the next equation the same way and distribute 2 into 3 and 2 into -4 which equals to 6x-8 because we multiply the constants
im finally starting to understand this
Now we're left with 6x-18=10=6x-8.Now we have to do inverse operations to the variables of each side of the equation
So we subtract the variables which is 6x so we subtract 6x-6x on both sides and that leads us to 0.
YAYY! lets eat cookies to celebrate!
We can divide this ,but it's already and infinite solution which is -8=-8 so that concludes that we don't need to do anymore steps
