  • "I tol' you you couldn't bring that pup in here." pg.42
  • "What pup, George? I ain't got no pup." pg 42
  • "Tell you what. I'll shoot him for you. Then it won't be you that does it." pg. 45
  • "You can have a pup if you want too." Pg.45
  • "Any you guys seen my wife?" Pg.53
  • "Where the hell's Slim?" Pg.53
  • George finally gets Lennie his white puppy. He gets an exception to not bring in the puupy into their bunk..but secretley brings it in and George finds out.
  • Carlson makes a big deal over Candy's dog smelling bad so he offers to kill the dog but Candy was to hesitant to do it. Slim offers one of his puppies for him to keep after the kill the dog. Candy finally decides to do it. Carlson then kills the dog.
  • Curley is trying to find his wife but cannot find her anywhere so he goes to George and Lennie's bunk but is not there. They realize Slim is gone to so the suspect they're both in the barn.
  • Lennie asks George to talk about their home they are planning on moving too and creating. AS George is telling Lennie the story Curly asks about it and then wants to become a part of it anf help them out.
  • As Curley walks in back from finding his wife. He is very furious and sees Lennie laughing at him. He gets even more mad.
  • Curley and Lennie get into a huge argument which leads to a physical fight. At first Curley was throwing punches but as soon as George start telling Lenie to punch back he gets very mad and starts fighting back. It leads to Lennie making Curley's hand bleed. They all come up with this lie saying that Curley's hand got smashed with a machine. Curley agrees with this lie so he won't get embarrassed and it will also benefit Lennie so he wont get canned.
