Hi, everyone my name is Sarah, and I am here today to tell you all about identity theft, and what it is.
You see Paul here, feel for one of those ads online, it had turned out to be a scam. Paul found out by checking his credit card purchases. The person had spent over $1,500 dollars on items.
Does anyone know what identity theft is? Yes, you. Identity theft is using some else's identity to buy anything using a credit card. Correct!
Paul, now knows not give out your social security number online. If it is your bank calling you make sure it is actually them, and do not stay on the phone with the identity thief.
If your identity does get stolen also call the three major reporting agencies, to tell them that it is not you spending money. Also, report it as a crime, so that the government can track the thief.
After that I had my banks cancel my credit cards.
