The Battle of the Midway was important, because it destroyed Japanese carriers which made Japanese lose ships to attach back. Its an example of wartime strategy because the U.S held them off.
The Battle of Okinawa was important because it was the last and most difficult battle, against Japan. 100,000 Japanese soldiers held off a superior American force and inflicted 50,000 casualties. This battle was part of the Island Hopping Strategy.
Iwo Jima was important because the Japanese were using it to launch fighter to attack our bombers on our way to Japan. In the end victory was made atop Mt. Suribachi by the U.S, raising the flag.
