The Water Cycle
Water vapor collects on dust particles in the air to form clouds. Eventually, the water vapor condenses and forms precipitation in the form of rain, hail, sleet, or snow.
Precipitation collects and forms bodies of water, such as rivers and lakes. Here, water may enter living organisms before returning to the cycle. Water also may collect below the ground as groundwater.
Water may next evaporate from where it is, or travel along rivers until it reaches the ocean, where it can evaporate back into the atmosphere.
