Storyboard Text

  • Modern-Day Beowulf Storyboard
  • Scene 1
  • Special Effects: Sudden bright lights with angel like background music to make Armond's presence seem "great."
  • Police Department Serial Killer Case
  • My name is Armond, the new detective. Now, who is fired up and ready to go?!
  • Scene 2
  • Special Effect: Suspenseful music in background to create a "suspenseful" mood.
  • Any last words, ay?
  • Costumes: Grendel is dressed in all black to blend in with his surroundings. Armond is dressed up in police garment (bulletproof vest) to look prepared and "ready."
  • What did you do to my son, you imbecile?!!!!
  • By: Marwa Doost
  • Scene 3
  • A Serial killer, Grendel, has been murdering teens all over Seattle, WA. Seattle police have been tracking him down with no results. Detective Armond, an award winning detective, is brought in to help catch the culprit. Costume: Professional clothing for Armond with old and used clothing for other police to make them look tired. Setting: Meeting room in the police department, detective comes in when they are most weary and gives them hope.
  • Scene 4
  • Grendel gets angry at the presence of the new detective. He calls and challenges the detective, telling him that if comes to a nearby forest and manages to catch him, he will follow their orders. A fight happens, Armond wins, and Grendel is sent to prison. Setting: Forest near highway 7, a site away from people that is easy to have a fight in.
  • The End
  • You love me, ay?
  • Grendel's mother, Zeephion, comes to the police department the next day and attacks Armond because of what happened to her son. Armond, however, maneuvers around her and puts her in handcuffs. She goes to prison as well. Costumes: Armond is tired and is in old clothing because he has been working all night on finishing up Grendel's case. A stunt man can be used for the fighting scenes, to make them seem very "strong." Set: Police Department, in Armond's office because that is where the fight takes place.
  • Special Effects: Intense soundtrack for fighting so that it seems "Intense."
  • Setting: a bank because that is where the robbery is taking place. Special Effects: When Armond dies, there needs to be sad music so that the audience can feel grief when the main character dies. Music should be sad, but bring a feeling of closing to the story (needs a "finish" feeling).
  • Armond is promoted to a team leader of crime cases and years pass by with him leading his team successfully. However, he dies by protecting one of his team members when a robbery goes wrong. With his last bit of energy, he handcuffs the robber before he dies. Costumes: Armond is old (stage makeup used to make him seem older), robber is wearing a face mask to avoid attention, and police is dressed up in black police uniforms to camouflage into their environment.
  • Notes: - When filmed, story needs to make sure the detective has a "heroic" feeling that the original Beowulf had. - Soundtrack needs to be incorporated correctly, or else the story won't be as suspenseful and intriguing as it can be. - Costumes need to be on point, when the scene calls for a "tired" outfit, it needs to be "tired" so that the weariness of the situation can be felt by the viewers.
