  • Art thee manly enow?
  • We have scorched the snake, not killed it.
  • Banquo warns Macebeth about him and his son going riding. He is not sure if he will be there for the state dinner
  • Macbeth hires two murderers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance.
  • Macbeth tells his wife that he is afraid of Banquo, they cannot enjoy their royalty, they feel guilty of what they have done to become king and queen. Macbeth does not tell Lady Macbeth about Banquo’s assassination.
  • Lady Macbeth tries to cheer up Macbeth, but she hardly succeeds.
  • The murderers succeed in killing Banquo but his son escapes.
  • The murders return and explain to Macbeth what happened, when he returns to the dinner he sees Banquo’s Gost, he is the only one seeing it. Lady Macbeth asks their guests to leave the dinner because Macbeth lost his mind.
