  • The federalists were led by Alexander Hamilton.
  • The democratic-republicans were led by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison
  • The federalists party believed in "implied" powers that are not clearly stated in the constitution. 
  • The democratic-republican party believed in a strict constitution. They did not believe in "implied" powers. They would only make absolutely necessary changes to the constitution.
  • John Adams became the president of 1796 with a total of 71 votes. Thomas Jefferson became vice president with a total of 68 votes. 
  • Federalist (vice president)
  • I believe that we should have a National Bank because it will help us by holding government funds, making dept payments, and creating a single currency.
  • We're making a National Bank!
