Newton's Laws of Motion
Today I will be telling you about Newton's laws of motion and show you how they are used everyday.
Newton’s First Law of Motion is “an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force”
The shopping cart is at rest and will stay at rest until an unbalanced force, such as a shopper, pushes the cart.
The ball being thrown will be moving at the same speed until a force, such as air resistance, acts on it.
Newton's second law of motion states that “The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.”
