George would have been better off without you.
Lennie's guilt starts to get to him and begins to imagine his aunt Clara who tells him that George would have a better life without him because Lennie only causes him trouble.
Once he is done imagining Clara he begins to imagine a giant rabbit that tells him that he will never tend the rabbits because he can't even take care of himself.
He'll Never let you tend the rabbits because you can't even take care of yourself.
As soon as George finds Lennie, Lennie asks George to talk about their dream while he imagines it. While Lennie imagines the farm George struggles with pulling the trigger on his best friend.
