Atticus Character analysis.
Atticus is meant to be portrayed as the voice of reason in the book. Atticus is also the main source of themes in the book.
This is the scene where Atticus tells Scout not to judge a man until you're walked around in his shoes
"You never really understand a person until you consider his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around it" (Lee, 39)
In this scene Atticus explains to the kids why he had Jem read to Mrs. Dubose and how she has real courage
"According to her views, she died beholden to nothing and nobody. She was the bravest person I ever knew. " (Lee, 149)
