My name is Banu. I am a Muslim woman who has lived in Iran all 23 years I have been alive. The year is 2000 and I have traveled to Switzerland to visit my grandparents.
Hi jaddati! Hi Jaddi!
Banu! You're so grown up!
My grandparents left Iran in 1980 during the Islamic revolution. The last time I saw them I was only 3. They stopped practicing the Islamic religion when they left Iran but still support my faith in Allah. It is probably a good thing they left the time they did because of all the new strict laws that have been enacted. Grandma would not enjoy wearing the veil.
Hows living in Iran nowadays? Thank God the Shah was overthrown.
They were very curious about how Iran was since they left.
Yes! Tell us everything! All the details! We missed you sweetie!
The Ayatollah in charge are very religious and make all females wear the veil because hair is stimulating to men so we must cover ourselves up for our safety.
