  • You sure pulled a Charlie Gordon!!!
  • Yes, doctor.
  • Make incinsion Number One.
  • We are introduced to Charlie Gordon. He is 37 and is mentally challenged.
  • Charlie is tested to see if he is qualified to be in Dr.Strauss' and Dr. Nemur. The first test they use on Charlie is the Rorshach Test. For the test you look at a picture on spilled inkblots and you make out what you see in the inkblots.
  • The area of a circle is 3.14r to the second power.
  • Very good Charlie!
  • Charlie is selected for testing. They perform surgery and experiments on his brain. They do this to possibly see if they could make mentally challenged people "normal".
  • I beat Algernon! I am finally smarter than a mouse!
  • The experiments all go very well. After these experiences they make him race a mouse, Algernon, through a maze. Algernon beats Charlie almost every time, making Charlie wanna be smarter than Algernon.
  • After some more experiments Charlie shows improvement even in school. His teacher Miss Kinnian sees this improvement and starts to work with him outside of class. They become good friends.
  • Charlie finally beats Algernon in a race. This is important to the story because this finally made Charlie feel smart. Even after all his advancements this is the one event that made all the tests worth it.
