Hey there, today we're gonna be talking about solids, liquids, and gases and see how molecules move.
Here is an ice cube. Right now, the molecules aren't moving much. But when we leave the ice out to melt, the molecules start moving faster and slowly start to move away from each other.
Now the ice cube has turned into water, we're gonna heat the water up. When we do this, the water reaches it's boiling point. Molecules move even more and there's more space between each molecule.
The water soon produces gas as the molecules move even faster, and spread more apart, some molecules split from the boiling liquid and go into the air to become a gas.
