  • The Legend of the Trojan War
  • The Beginning of the Rival
  • In the 8th century, there was an ancient city-state known as Troy. Troy and the other Greek city-states were pretty good friends. But they had then all turned their back on Troy which resulted in a 10 rival.
  • Troy built a wall around to protect them from their enemies. The only way through the wall was but a huge gate, soldiers of Troy would check who and what was coming though their gate before they opened it to let them in. The Greeks had been trying to find a way into Troy for about 9 years, but they couldn't find a way in.
  • The End of Troy
  • Odysseus, a Greek general, came up with a plan, to build a beautiful, wooden horse, and leave it outside the gate. The Greek army would pretend to leave, the gate to show defeat. But the horse was hollow and Thirty of the greek's army would be hiding inside waiting until Troy was asleep.
  • As the Greek army began to sail back to their land, the people of Troy rushed outside. They dragged the horse inside the city gates to keep it on display. a huge celebration was held to mark their triumph.
  • When all the Trojan people were asleep. The Greek men that were hiding inside the wooden horse climbed out and opened the gates so that the greek army could enter Troy. The greeks tore Troy to the ground. That was the end of Troy. The Greeks had won the war.
  • In conclusion this story teaches us that the Greeks were very smart and incredibly strong civilisation. Life in ancient Greece would have been very different for men and women as the Greece army made up up of only men, this shows us that men were expected to take part in the Army or physical activities. This story also tells us about how far apart Troy and Greece are as part of the story says that the Greeks sailway, this shows that the two city-states are divided by sea.
