Mom, what is this large dark circle on my arm?
I don't know Lou Lou. Maybe we should go to the doctor and check it out.
Hello! What can I help you with today?
My daughter Lou Lou has a large dark circle on her arm and we would like to see a doctor.
I have a large raised circle on my arm. It does not bother me, but it is very noticeable and I am scared it is harmful.
Hello I am Dr. Smith. For what reason are you in my office today?
Should I be worried? Is it cancerous? Does it need to be removed?
It looks to me like you have a mole. A mole occurs when cells form in a cluster instead of spreading throughout the skin. These cells are called melanocytes and they make the pigment that gives the skin color.
Thank you so much Dr. Smith!!!
It may be a birth mark, but just to be safe, we will remove it by a surgical procedure tomorrow.
Your procedure went very well. We successfully removed the entire mole. The mole was cancerous so I am glad we made the decision we did and you are now on the road to recovery!
