Dally's actions impacted Ponyboy but not in a good way. Dally's actions impact Ponyboy by making him feel sad. When Dally robbed that grocery store to get shot, he didn't think he had a reason to live anymore without Johnny. Which of course makes Ponyboy sad, even though he was already sad because Johnny died but this made him even more sad.
Johnny impacts Ponyboy by saving the kids in the fire which leads to Ponyboy thinking of Johnny as a hero. But when Johnny died it impacts Ponyboy by, again Ponyboy being sad, and even a little sick. Ponyboy was a little sick because he just saw his best friend die, Ponyboy wasn't actually sick of course, he just couldn't belive Johnny died. Ponyboy wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Johnny, because he saved his life.
The church impacts Ponyboy because it's one of his fondest memories, being at the church for those five days. But it would soon turn into one of his most disturbing and scary memory because it caught on fire. But the memory of the church catching on fire is one Ponyboy will never forget, because he saved kids lives and he was brave.
