Storyboard Description

This summer, we went to Hershey Park with my sister, brother-in-law, and 2 nephews. The day started out on an unsteady note, but it ended up being a great one.

Storyboard Text

  • Oh no! I forgot the tickets! @#$%*!!!
  • Well, Mom, at least you didn't remember after we had already gotten there.
  • Wow! Look how tall that roller coaster is!
  • Awesome! We're SO going on that one first!
  • Ugh! Look at the line! This is gonna take forever!
  • About 20 minutes into our drive to Hershey Park, it occurred to me that I had left the tickets on the kitchen countertop.  I felt so annoyed because we were already behind by a half hour. This would set us back another forty minutes! This day was not getting off to a good start.
  • Come on, guys! Let's get in line for Sky Rush!
  • No way am I riding that! Mom, I think I want to ride the swings. Actually, I think I have to go to the bathroom.
  • Are they not gonna go on any rides with us?
  • Owen, always the positive thinker, added some perspective to the situation.  An additional forty minutes was nothing compared to an additional $250!
  • Driving to the parking lot, we couldn't help noticing the bright yellow, super tall roller coaster called Sky Rush. It was hard to contain our excitement. Unfortunately, the long lines to get into the park put a damper on that.
  • Great Bear was awesome! I wanna ride it again!
  • Finally! We were in Hershey Park, and we found our family. My nephews, Chris and Dillan, did not share in our excitement to ride the rollercoasters. After a few tense moments, we decided to split up so Chris and Dillan could ride the less thrilling rides and we could ride Sky Rush.
  • Can we just go to the arcade?
  • Owen and Declan were disappointed their cousins wanted nothing to do with the roller coasters. After we rode Sky Rush, my sister told me Chris cried, but after a few rides he decided to put aside his fears and try a roller coaster. We rode Comet and superdooperLooper.
  • By the end of the day, my nephews had become quite the thrill seekers. The four boys ran from ride to ride as you would expect them to. Even Dillan, who would've preferred to spend the day in the arcade, asked to sit in the front of the log flume. We were really proud of my nephews for overcoming their fears.
