Antigone and Ismene talk and Antigone tell Ismene that she wants to bury her dead brother Polyneices, but Ismene says she does not want to help bury him because she does not want to get caught.
“But I will burry him: and if I must die,/ I say that this crime is holy: I shall lie down/ With him in death and I shall be as dear/ To him as he to me” (Sophocles Prologue. 55-7)
Once Ismene tell Antigone she does not want to help she tells her that she will not tell any one but Antigone tells her to tell everyone and made a rash decision saying that she's going to hate her.
Polynecies (left) got his troops roused up and fought against his brother Eteocles (right) and where both killed. Polynecies was against Creon, which Creon took into his own hands saying that Polynecies was not allowed to be buried.
