Storyboard Text

  • Oh,  hey! I didn't see you there! I was just on my way to get some newspapers for later. What's that? You want me to tell you some of the words from yesterday's 'paper? Well, sure thing!
  • The first word is 'Intone', and is a thing I do sometimes when I speak, haha. To intone something is to  recite or say something with little to no faltering of the pitch   and/or tone of the voice.
  • an example would be: "The moderator intoned the winners and losers of the spelling bee," which brings us to our next word.
  • Moderator: a moderator is an announcer , a leader, or enforcer, that makes sure contestants or members follow rules.
  • neat
  • An example of this would be: 'The tan skinned moderator straightened his dark gray tie before stepping onto the stage.'
  • Our next word is  paparazzi, which is another word for 'photographer'. Kind of.  Paparazzi members take photos of famous people, or athletes, sometimes selling said photos. Although, the paparazzi are 'independent   contractors', unaffiliated  with the media.
  • neat.
  • Hey, do you know  what I just realized? We can make a sentence  out of those two words, and you know what  I  (don't) always say: 'If you can make a sentence out of it, then you should.' , and so that's what you're going to do!  Think of a sentence using these vocabulary words, and tell them to the real me, Bryce Torres!
  • What?
  • our final two words are 'stubble', and 'ballistic'. For those of you who don't know or remember, stubble is  the scratchy facial hair a man (or woman) has on their face before they shave. Ballistic means  to become irrational, or overwrought, usually in a situation.
