  • Keep in mind you are next in line to be King.
  • Claudius
  • Gertrude
  • My son, you have to move on with your life!
  • Oh please, you two are probably in great joy of my fathers death!
  • Hamlet
  • I wish I could just kill myself
  • Father? Is that you? Please tell me why you keep visiting.
  • *talking to Horatio and Marcellus* Swear to me neither of you will share what you have seen. I have to spy on Gertrude and Claudius.
  • Remember me!
  • Mourning cannot be mistaken for weakness, therefore Claudius and Gertrude have decided to marry each other because of the Danish army on their way. The King and Queen encourage Hamlet to move on from the death of his father, after taking note of his depressing attitude lately.
  • Hamlet goes to meet Horatio and Marcellus on the battlements of the castle. Prince Hamlet is not happy with the new Kings' behavior. When suddenly, the ghost appears. Prince Hamlet immediately identifies it as his father.
  • Young Hamlet follows the ghost, who has admitted to be the spirit of King Hamlet. The ghost wants revenge for his death. He explains to Prince Hamlet that Claudius is the reason for his death. When King Hamlet was napping, Claudius snuck in and poured lethal poison in his ear.
