  • Lexington and Concord
  • "Shot heard' round the world" (Emerson)
  • Valley Forge
  • " Loved him. They'd sell their lives for George Washington." (John Brooks)
  • Fort Sackville
  • " If a country is not worth protecting it is not worth claiming." (Clark)
  • In April 1775 Lexington and Concord took place. The American people won the battle. Captain John Parker was the commander of the Lexington militia.
  • Camden
  • In the winter of 1777-1778 Valley Forge took place. This was not really a battle because it was a camp that took place during the revolutionary war. George Washington was the leader of the continental army.
  • Charles Town
  • From March 1778- February 1779 Fort Sackville took place and the Americans Won after the British Soldiers surrendered. Clark was important in this battle.
  • Battle of Yorktown
  • The battle of Camden was during August of 1780. The British won against the American soldiers. General Gates was the general of the British troops in the battle of Camden.
  • " Their number did not exceed 20 men and boys." (officer)
  • The battle of Charles Town took place in 1780. The British soldiers won this war. The loyalists and patriots came together after the battle.
  • " It was the worst American defeat of the war." (from the book)
  • The battle of Yorktown took place in the year 1781. The Americans won the battle and attacked from sea and on ground and surrounded the British.
