Impact on Culture Because of all the men, women and children being taken away and all the houses and buildings getting destroyed there would be no more history or culture left to show the next generations, thus Africans culture would be lost
Impact on Economy The loss of young hard working men meant that it was hard for all the villagers to do all the work without the help from them. These men were traded for guns, alcohol and luxury goods
Impact on Political They had a lot of distribution of ammunition across Central and West Africa. These alliances enabled the rulers to establish authority. Some of the kingdoms prospered, and some of the entire kingdoms developed around the slave trade.

Impact on Society The men were taken away from their families, They could be doing a job and be captured by the Europeans and taken away to be a slave. Their children would grow up without a father and it was very hard for women to take up the roles/jobs of the men
Impact of Depopulation They took away all the strong men and fathers. The communities were torn apart and broken down as no men were left to protect their society and protect their families
Impact on Racism Africans were thought of as an inferior race. They were thought of as objects Eurocentric justification that they were bringing Africans to a “better place”, making them more civilized.
