Storyboard Description

This is a storyboard that I made on The Giver. We are reading that book in class and this was an assignment.

Storyboard Text

  • Father
  • Asher
  • Lily
  • Positive Traits: He is loving and caring. Father is shy and quiet. (this could be negative or positive) Negative Traits: He is a rule breaker. He kills babies. Father is naive and doesn't understand what the world is really like. Changes: Father was known as a nice man but at the end we learn that he kills newborns.
  • Jonas
  • Positive Traits: He is funny and always positive. Asher is very creative when coming up with games and activities. Negative Traits: He gets in trouble because he is careless with his speech. He is naive and doesn't know about our world or color. Changes: Asher becomes the recreation director so he is foolish like need be, but I think he matured and is more responsible now.
  • Mother
  • Positive Traits: She is a kind, sweet person. Lily is very gentle and careful with Gabe. She treats him as if he is her own son. Negative Traits: She hasn't learned all of the rules of the society so, she can be a little rude at times. She is naive and doesn't know about the other life or color. Changes: Lily becomes a proper little girl who follows the rules, but still likes to be crazy sometimes.
  • The Giver
  • Positive Traits: He is very brave, curious, and helpful. Negative Traits: He is a rule breaker and runs away. Jonas sometimes thinks with his emotions and not his head. Changes: Jonas learns about how the real world is and develops feelings.
  • Positive Traits: She cares for her family unit and helps them. Also, Mother is intelligent. Negative Traits: She is a worker at the department of justice, so she is always telling them what they should and shouldn't do. She is naive and doesn't know about how the world actually was and is. Changes: She was more uneasy at the end of the book than at the beginning because she knew that they killed the babies.
  • Positive Traits; He is kind and very comforting. Negative Traits: Sometimes he doesn't explain he just does. He is mysterious and sometimes hard to understand. Changes: He becomes attached to Jonas, almost like you would become attached to your pet and then sad if it died. The Giver is given a different look on things from what Jonas says and ideas that he provides.
