  • Increasing the surface area will dissolve faster!
  • Actually I believe the factor of agitation will dissolve first!!
  • NO! Heating will increase the speed up the collisions.
  • Let's see which dissolves first!
  • This will be tested in the kitchen.
  • Did you know that all the factors that affect the rate of solution has to do with collisions!
  • Black and blue shirt is about surface area factor , and the green shirt is about agitation factor, and the red shirt is about heating factor.

  • A competition which dissolve first. The first glass is the surface area, the second is stirring, and the last will be heated. All will be timed at the same time.

  • Experiment at home, you'll you need two glasses, a pot, H2O, sugar, a spoon and a stove with supervisions. Have the sugar that is power into the glass, then another glass with same sugar but put the spoon in it, then heat up the stove early and put the sugar into it. Now time it , one person will stirred with the glass that has a spoon in it, see which dissolves first.
