  • "Come on home to dinner with us Walter" 
  • In chater 1, Jem and scout met Dill. Dill becomes their best friend. This is where everything  that summer started.   P. 11
  • "Don't  eat things  you find,  Scout "
  • Scout meets  Ms. Caroline and  she doesn't like how she  doesn't believe she is smart.   p.22
  • In the scene, Jem  invites walter back home for dinner.  this is important because Jem is  growing up and showing a more mature side of him. p. 27
  • "lord you're gettin' more like a girl every day!"
  • Here Jem yells at Scout about eating things you find. This important because it shows jem growing and becoming more of an adult. p. 33
  • This is where Jem and dill were trying to put a note in the top window of the radley house to get boo to come out. This shows they will do anything to get him to come out to talk p.  51
  • This  is where Jem, Dill, and Scout are leaving to go to the radley house. But she  is scared and Jem is making fun of her. This is important becuse they are both changing into different people and they are maturing differently.  p. 56
