They lived in a small wooden house. Mornings were beautiful there, windy and cold. The smell of corncakes all around.
One day, Coyotito was in his hanging box , suddenly a scorpion with a stingy tail crawled slowly down the rope of the box and stung Coyotito on his shoulder. Kino and Juana quickly took hime to the doctor.
As they were on their way to the doctor , people followed them all the way worried about Coyotito.
The doctor knew they had no money, so he asked the servant to tell them he has gone out for a really sick patient. Then the servant closed the door feeling ashamed and spreading this feeling to all the people around.
After all , Kino and his family went to his canoe which used to belong to his father and the most valuable thing he owned to search for pearls for the sake of his son for paying the doctor also because Kino is a pearl diver.
