  • The Nazis made a list of books that they believed Germans should not be allowed to read. These books had content that went against their ideas or had concepts they did not agree with. They went on a raid and burned these books.

  • At the beginning of World War II, individuals who were mentally retarded, physically handicapped, or mentally ill were targeted for murder. Despite public protests in 1941, the Nazi leadership continued this program in secret throughout the war. About 200,000 handicapped people were murdered between 1940 and 1945.
  • Germany was a powerhouse, and overran most of Europe. After Germany invades and defeats Poland, France and Britain declare war. One year later, France is defeated, and the new French government declares neutrality. The U.S. aids the Soviet Union and Britain to bring Germany to it's defeat.
  • Is this the end of the elimination or is it just the beginning?
