Storyboard Text

  • Opens with a majestic blue-bird Belleayre day filmed from the opposite mountain, perhaps a time lapse of the day.
  • Cuts to our main man Lavan in an quiet hamlet trail of the mountain (portraying Belleayre as wilderness rather than tourism)
  • [Lavan style introduction] Welcome to Lavan's Smooth Introduction to Skiing, I'm your host, Lavan, and I'll be taking you through this magical journey into the wonderful world of skiing and keeping it smooth.
  • In Skiing, as in life, it's important to keep it smooth because....(Lavan)
  • [Cuts to Carl backstory] [Carl fumbles around the mountain, scenes of yardsales (crashes in which things fly everywhere) in front of cute girl skiers and other smooth skiers.][etc]
  • Here we have Carl, a first time skier and generally uncoordinated cat
  • Cuts back to Lavan, enter Carl, with a huge gaper gap (the space in between helmet and goggles that exposes one's forehead, not smooth) and other generally gaper tendencies. Lavan goes over how important it is to select the proper outerwear and knowing functionality before going up on the hill.
  • The lesson continues until Carl has progressed into a smooth skier, and life as a smooth skier couldn't be better for Carl: instead of yard sale-ing, he is impressing all the skier girls and turning their men into straight haters.
  • Every detail is separately documented to convey Lavan's lesson in the most visual and understandable way possible. Much room for creativity here.
  • Once Carl is looking the part, Lavan begins the never-ever lesson in his transparently cool style.
  • Carl skis off into the proverbial sunset (since you can't really see the sunset at Belleayre) and fades into smooth history.
  • Lavan ending lines
