  • Symbolism
  • Hephaestus falls for a whole day but fell upon a beautiful island and the fall has not killed him. Zeus does not want him to return to Mount Olympus because he is still furious with him so Hephaestus gets ordered to live on the island. Hephaestus makes a hold inside a mountain for his workshop and there he makes thunder bolts and sends them to his father. In return Zeus asks him to come back to Mount Olympus and live with him. As Hephaestus tried to be normal all the other gods made fun of him because he was so awkward and ugly from the fall
  • Motifs
  • That night Senon the spy opens up the hidden door of the wooden horse and not a single Trojan is on guard. The enemy was waiting until nobody was on guard to arrive. Priam and his warriors fell by the sword and their kingdom is robbed by great possessions, women and children, and treasure. The city is then burned down to its foundations. The kingdom of Troy is fallen. Nothing remains of its glory besides its dead heroes and its fair women.
