  • In the short story "The Cask Of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe, Fortunato has been locked up in Montresors catacombs. Montresor has chained up Fortunato up to wall and covered it up with bricks and bones of Montresors past family.

  • Montresors revenge has be justified.
  • Analysis
  • Montresor took Fourtunato down to his catacombs.
  • Conclusion
  • Montresor states, "He stepped over the low wall and into the small area. I followed on his heels. He reached tye end of the space at once. He stood still for a moment, confused by the whole situation. In a blink of an eye, I had chained him to the wall!"
  • This show Montresor has gone crazy and wants revenge on Fourtunato for always playing tricks on the Montresors.
  • The dampness from the catacombs got to Montresor and he and Forutunato had gone crazy. Forutunato had eventual told himself that he was going to die right there in that catacombs.
