Hazel and George are watching television, Hazel is sad but she doesn't remeber why.
George and Hazel were watching ballerinas dance on the television and George talks about how they aren't the best dancers, they were wearing masks and weights
George winced when he started to think about the ballerinas. Hazel questioned him about the noise that his handicap made in his ear. They talk about their son, Harrison, who is now in prison.
One of the ballerinas read the bulletin. News was that Harrison Bergeron escaped from jail and is plotting to overthrow the government. She says to watch and keep an eye out of him. Very dangerous.
Suddenly there was a real life Harrison on the screen. He torn off his handicaps and revealed his face. He told everyone to do what he sais, which was to dance their best without their handicaps. He apointed his Empress to the girl who first raised her feet.
Diana Moon Glampers, the handicap general, came in with a loaded gun and shot at Harrison and his Empress. Hazel was crying but soon forgot why.
