This cake recipe calls for a half-tea spoon of baking soda.
That's 2.5 cm^3. The box is one pound, so if I add the measurements of the box that gives me a density of 1.0906 g/cm^3. So I need 2.7265 grams of baking soda.
Hey mom, do we have a good quality metric scale?

I'm sorry honey, it appears we don't have one. (in a sarcastic tone)
