Storyboard Text

  • Presidential Elections of 1824 and 1828
  • I should ride this fame to presidency.
  • Jackson begins his Presidential Campaign
  • I, Andrew Jackson, would be a magnificent president.
  • A deal is made
  • No fair guys...
  • John Quincy Adams should totally be out president.
  • Yeah!
  • The Battle of New Orleans was a major victory for the Americans, making Jackson, the leader for the Americans, a national hero.
  • Adams, Americas' new President
  • Don't worry Jackson, you can try again in eight years!
  • Andrew Jackson runs for president for the first time in 1824 against Henry Clay (left) and John Quincy Adams (right).
  • The elections of 1828
  • After Jackson wins the majority vote, the Electoral Collage can not decide a winner. So when it goes to the house, Clay says that if Adams makes him his Secretary of State, he will influence the house to choose Adams as their president.
  • Jackson is elected
  • Your presidency was just cut short! Ha ha ha! All is well that ends well!
  • After Clay persuades the house, Adams is elected president, but Jackson does not take that sitting down. He is so mad, that the Democratic-Republicans split into the Democrats and Republicans, Adams was a Republican and Jackson was a Democrat.
  • Try four years Adams!
  • The next presidential debate in 1828 was the first mudslinging debate. This meant that the two people debating, Adams and Jackson, dug up as much dirt on each other as possible, and used it against each other.
  • You suck!
  • Leave me alone!!!
  • After Andrew Jackson was elected president, and he went on to be one of the greatest presidents of all time. John Quincy Adams was an okay president, but nobody really liked him because of his deal with Henry Clay to get him elected.
