  • Another reaction to the British policies was Paul Revere's ride and the First Battles of the Revolutionary War. A group of British soldiers were heading to a camp that some colonists where some colonists were hiding. Paul Revere warned them and the colonists and British started to fire the first shots upon each other at Lexington and Concord.

  • Before the Revolutionary War, the Continental Congress wrote a letter to the British that stated why they wanted independence no matter what. Some famous people like Benjamin Franklin signed this letter. The letter was called the Declaration of Independence. People say this was the most famous break up letter ever.

  • The Revolutionary War started between the colonists and the British. Some details were that the colonists teamed up with the French and the the British teamed up with the Germans.

  • Some famous people like George Washington fought in the war.There were advantages and disadvantages on both sides. Some advantages for the colonists is that they knew the land well. They also knew how to shot and they had a good leader. Some British advantages were that they had highly trained soldiers and had the best navy in the world. They also had tons of funds.
  • In the Revolutionary War, there were also disadvantages on both sides of the War. The colonists didn't have a navy and they didn't have a lot of cannons and gunpowder. Also, they had some untrained forces with them. Some disadvantages that the British had was that their armies are 3,000 miles away home and it took a long time to get supplies from Britain to the British armies. Some famous battles were Lexington and Concord.
  • Yes, we won the Revolutionary War. There were some good outcomes and some bad outcomes after the Revolutionary War. Some good things were that white men gained rights, woman gained more freedom, got to expand, and we gained our INDEPENDENCE from Britain. Some bad things were that we were war debt, no government/voting rights for woman or Natives, lost primary trading partner(Britain), and we lost 217,000 colonists in the Revolutionary War.
