  • U.S. Oil/Steel Embargo On Japan
  • Pearl Harbor, Hawaii & the Suprise Attack
  • Japan wanted more power, so they started to invade countries like China. This led to their own conflict in the Axis Powers.
  • The U.S. Joining War
  • With the attacks on China from Japan, the U.S. decided to stop it and cut off all resources provide to Japan by the U.S.
  • FDR/"Date Which Will Live in Infamy"
  • The Pearl Harbor attack took may by surprise because they didn't think Japan would and could do the damage they did. This was caused by the U.S. Oil/Steel Embargo.
  • Battle of Midway
  • After the attack on the U.S. by Japan, the U.S. finally joined WWII.
  • After Pearl Harbor president FDR gave a moving speech to raise morale and convince the government to declare war.
  • The battle of Midway was a naval battle between the U.S. and Japan. The outcome was a decisive U.S. victory.
