The book starts out with a fireman named Guy Montag who meets a very unique 17 year old girl named Clarisse McClellan. Clarisse makes some simple questions that leave Montag thinking about his life.
The conflict in the book is when the fire department gets to an old woman's house with books. After she refuses to leave, she decides to burn herslef with her books. Montag is shocked by this and wonders what could possibly be in books.
The risng point begins when Montag begins to read some of the books he has been hiding to Mildred. Although, Mildred doesn't want to get in trouble and starts to get paranoid. Beatty notices Montag is acting weird lately and sends the hound to Montag's house.
The climax starts when Montag decides to go get help from Professor Faber. Faber helps Montag understand 3 things about books and how to digest the information in books.
The falling action occurs when Captain Beatty knows about the books in Montag's house and shows up (with 2 more firemen) ready to burn the house. Montag burns Beatty and the hound and runs away.
The resolution of the book is when Montag crosses a river and meets a group of people who also love books. A moment later jets bomb the city, and the group heads out to look for survivors in reach to build a new civilization.
