  • Time to go learn more about the Christian religion
  • Here I go studying to learn more about Civil law
  • It was the summer of 1536; Calvin had recently converted to Spiritual faith and had just published the institutes of the Christian Religion, which attached his Protestant views. He was a wanted man.
  • Yes, im finally done studying about the law
  • Calvin had become a fine scholar. He spoke proficient Latin, excelled at philosophy, and qualified to take up the intensive study of theology in Paris.
  • I'm finally out of France
  • By 1528 Calvin moved to Orleans to study civil law. The following years found Calvin studying in various places and under various scholars, as he received a humanist education.
  • Hey, I need Calvin back here in France right away
  • By 1532 Calvin finished his law studies and also published his first book, a commentary on De Clementia by the Roman philosopher, Seneca.
  • By 1536 Calvin had removed himself from the Roman Catholic Church and made plans to permanently leave France and go to Strasbourg.
  • French refugees was so peaceful and happy that when in 1541 the Council of Geneva requested that he return to Geneva.
