Tina woke up on a Sunday morning and immediately checked Synergy to see the results of her calculus test. She saw that she received a 65 and it seemed like her whole world collapsed around her! She no longer wanted anything to do with math!
She got out of bed and refused to check the time, instead she estimated how many minutes she spent showering, changing and eating breakfast and this made her late.
Before leaving for work, Tina had to feed her dog Cooper. She usually measured out 1/3 a cup of wet with 1 third a cup of dry food but she couldn’t use her measuring tools so she just gave poor Cooper dry food without the wet.
She finally arrived to work and her boss reprimanded her for being late and immediately sent her to give the correct dosage of medication for the poodle that just walked in.
She had to weigh the dog and measure the size of it in order to give the correct amount but she realized this involved math so she refused to do it and her boss sent her home for the day.
On her way home she stopped at the food market to pick up cold cuts and fruits for her mom. She went to the meat butcher and was about to calculate enough meat to feed four people in her family but she realized that involved math so she headed over to the produce section.
