Storyboard Text

  • The Call to Adventure
  • Refusal of the Call
  • The Experience with the Unconditional Love
  • After Maryam receives her Bloods, she has to cross over to the land of the Holy City to get pregnant and have a baby. Every woman has the exact same task but Maryam is different. She is told from her mentor, Hushai, that everyone is being brain-washed from the Brothers and Sisters and it's her duty to save them before it's too late.
  • The Ultimate Boon
  • Maryam questions why Hushai has chosen her to save everyone from being killed because in her mind, she is not special. What made her different from the rest of the people in the Holy City?
  • Refusal of the Return
  • As Maryam is close to being killed, she has to overcome her fears to escape the place she is being held hostage. She hears John's voice in her head telling her not to give up on what's to come. Maryam finds a way to escape using John's voice and the picture she has of him in her pocket. She soon realizes that she is in love with him.
  • The Crossing or Return Threshold
  • Maryam has found a way that she can tell the people of the Holy City that the Brothers and Sisters have been brain-washing them their whole life.
  • When Maryam is ready to leave, she has second thoughts about whether she should return to her home. She believes that the people won't believe her so there is no point in returning home.
  • Maryam has explained to the people of the Holy City that the Brothers and Sisters aren't who they say they are and she learns that love can get you through anything if you let it. In the end, the Brothers and Sisters are put away to never be seen again and the people continue to live their lives.
