When she was asked about her husband being a lecher, she lied to protect his "good name"
Her name was mentioned in court. By being mentioned, it impacts the other character's views on her. "If you think that i am one, then say there are none." (pg 66 Act II)
She becomes devastated after she finds out about her husband's affair. This news changes the way she acts with John so this begins to impact and change his life. "Why-! The girl is murdered! She must be ripped out of the world!" (pg 72 Act II)
She tells her husband that she wont judge him if he decides to confess to the false charges.
Abigal tells John that Elizabeth hates her and that she is a lying, sniveling woman. Abigal also blames Elizabeth for being fired. "Then go and tell her she's a whore. Whatever promise she may sense- break it, John. Break it." (pg 59 Act II)
