Through this storyboard, I will describe the plot, characters, and story of The Great Gatsby.
Nick tries to contact Daisy to tell her about Gatsby's death, but the Buchanan's left and did not leave a way to contact them.
The phone rings at Gatsby's and Nick takes a message, even though this message will never get to Gatsby. This phone call proves that Gatsby was involved in illegal practices.
Gatsby's father, Mr. Gatz, arrives. He tells Nick that Gatsby was generous and just wanted the best. He had the misconceptions that most parents have. Gatsby wanted to improve himself.
The day of the funeral is very rainy. The only people that show up are Nick, Mr. Gatz, and the man with owl shaped glasses.
Nick can't get over the fact that hundreds of people went to Gatsby's parties, but didn't attend his funeral. He can't come to ends with Myrtle's death either. Nick realizes that Tom and Daisy were careless. They left messes for others to clean up. Gatsby thought he was running towards his dream, but in reality it was already behind him.
"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter-tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther....And then one fine morning-So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
