The Exposition of the story is an southern state on a plantation. Characters are Mom, Dad, Doodle, Brother and Aunt Nicey .
The Conflict of the story is that Brother can't accept that Doodle has disabilities.
The rising action of the story is Brother lets his pride get in the way and decides he will teach Doodle how to be normal. Doodle learns to walk and Brother believes he can teach Doodle other things.
The Climax of the story is that a few days before school started Brother and Doodle were training. Brother gets mad and they decide to go home. Then a big storm rolls in and Brother starts to run. Doodle can't keep up and begs Brother not to leave him.
The Falling action of the story is Brother turns around to go back and help Doodle. Then he finds Doodle dead under a bush in the similar pose to the Ibis.
Brother don't leave me.
The resolution is that Brother knows has his selfish pride killed Doodle.
