Storyboard Text

  • Between the President and Congress, Congress has more power than the president. Here's why...
  • The President is stronger because he is in charge of the Army and Navy.
  • Congress is stronger though because they are the only ones that can declare war.
  • But you're forgetting the President has the power to veto any laws.
  • Congress also makes and ratifies all Federal laws.
  • Congress still has the final say by being able to over ride the veto with a 2/3 majority vote.
  • One other power Congress has is they decide how much, how often, and in what circumstance to tax the American people
  • And that's why Congress is more powerful than the President.
  • Wait did I do something wrong?
