Legends of Troy
There were once three goddesses who were fighting over who was the prettiest. They went to the son of the King of Troy, Paris, and asked him to judge who was the most beautiful.
They each try to bribes Paris. Hera, goddess of marriage, offered him power, Athens, goddess of wisdom, offered him success in battle and Aphrodite, goddess of love, offered him the most beautiful girl in the wold.
Paris chose Aphrodite's offer, claiming her the prettiest. Unfortunately, his prize, the most beautiful woman, Helen, was married to the king of Manalaus. But this didn't stop Paris. He decided to run away to Troy with her.
The king of Menelaus follows them to troy and declares war. The war lasted for 10 years with loss on both sides. Even the Gods split between the Greeks and Romans.
At long last, a Greek soldier had an idea. His plan was to leave a giant wooden horse outside Troy as a peace offering. The Greeks would hide inside until everyone was asleep and then attach.
The plan worked perfectly with the Romans celebrating all day over peace. Once they had all gone to sleep though, Troy was burnt to the ground.
