Storyboard Text

  • Right now, Jill is at a basketball game, until she remembers that she has a science project due tomorrow and if she does bad, her teacher will flunk her grade. She is worrying about it now.
  • PASS THE BALL!!!!!!!!!
  • I have a project due tomorrow!!! I haven't even started it. I better go home and finish it before Mrs. Lingly reduces my grade
  • She got a phone call from her friend, Belle, saying that she won 3 tickets to the Rockstars (their favorite band) and now she has called Jill over to join her. Jill really wants to join her but at the same time she doesn't want to fail and get a reduced grade. So now she is debating on what to do.
  • RINGGGGG!
  • Hi, Belle. why do you sound so hyper? Oh you won 3 free tickets to the Rockstars! AHHHHH! Who are you taking? Me?! I would love to come but I have a project due tomorrow! Let me think about it.
  • Jill doesn't know what to do. She wants to go out and hang out with her friend, but she wants to have a better education and wants to finish her project. If she does go out with her friends, the positive thing is that she will enjoy, but the negative is that she will struggle, leading it to be hard for her to cope up later on.
  • Option 1: Saying "Yes I would love to come"
  • "I don't know what to do! There are many options to choose. I could either say " yes"," I would love to come but the problem is that I will struggle further on, and then I will flunk my project a...an....an..and it will be a disaster!!!!!!!"
  • Option 2: Saying "No, I have to finish my project, we can hang out later though!"
  • Jill knows that this is the best thing to do. She should go and tell Belle that I didn't finish my project and that you can take someone else. Jill thinks that in this case, working is important that having fun, but that only applies if you keep everything until the last moment.
  • Maybe, I can say "No" and tell Belle that I have to finish my project and that she can take someone else with her. I rather would pick up my grade than go out and have fun.
  • Jill thinks that if she can't decide, then she wouldn't do anything, but certainly after considering her values and her consequences about her grade, she decides to choose...
  • Option 3: Be FREE!!!
  • But what about being free. I don't do anything. If I can't choose between both, why don't I do nothing. But the problem is, is that I am missing both sides. Lacking my grade and not having fun.
  • Option 2: To finish her project
  • She decides to do her project and tell Belle that she can't come. Belle understands and she is relieved.
  • OPTION 2 SAVED THE DAY!! She was glad that she chose option 2. She had chose that option because she knew that opportunities like concerts are happening often but bringing a low grade is a struggle and you maybe stuck with that grade for that period of time. She worked very hard and now she doesn't have to worry about anything since she has achieved her goal of finishing it on time and got the grade that she deserves.
  • AT SCHOOL
