Interactive Learning Piloted (Images from Google Impact Challenge)
Mialisa: LitLab focuses on every aspect of a child’s learning, literacy, numeracy, and language development through our leading Interactive Learning Program that combines customized parent engagement + a tablet device + eBooks + learning apps + hardcover books with prompts + an online exchanges, to transform how a child experiencing poverty is prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
Mialisa: Our Interactive Learning program was piloted in 2013, We piloted Literacy Lab’s Digital4Literacy program in 2013 after winning a Morgan Stanley Challenge grant. The pilot was highly successful showing significant improvement in children's test scores, and parent's interacting with their child. In 2014, We went on to win the first prize in the Google Bay Area Impact Challenge to expand our program.
Last year, students in Literacy Lab's Interactive Learning program read x number of books, and were exposed to x number of words.
