Gertrude hurries to Claudius she tells Claudius about her encounter with Hamlet. She says that he is mad and she also tells Claudius that Hamlet has killed Polonius.
"As mad as the waves and the wind when they struggle together in a storm. "
Gertrude? How is Hamlet?
Claudius plans to ship Hamlet to England at once and find a way to explain Hamlet’s misdeed to the court and to the people. He calls Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, tells them about the murder, and sends them to find Hamlet.
"Hamlet in his madness has killed Polonius and dragged him out of his mother’s bedroom. Go find him and speak nicely to him"
Hamlet has just finished disposing of Polonius’s body after that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern appear and ask what he has done with the body. Hamlet refuses to give them a straight answer.
“The body is with the king, but the king is not with the body”
Hamlet accuses them of being spies in the service of Claudius.
"What is the son of a king supposed to say to a sponge?"
