  • England, 1763
  • Meanwhile, in the colonies...
  • Quite so, Prime Minister Grenville.
  • I can't believe this! My tea won't sell! How am I supposed to live?
  • It's the British and their taxes! We have to do something about this! ... We've been boycotting, but what else?
  • Those darn colonists! Pulling their homeland into a silly war with the French and the Indians... they're going to repay the massive debt they've put us in!! But how?
  • One year later...
  • England, 1763
  • Later that same day...
  • Quite so, Prime Minister Grenville.
  • Right-o!
  • Sons of Liberty, tonight, we stand up for ourselves. Come to the harbor dressed like Natives. We're going to dump every last ounce of British East India Company's tea in the water!
  • Those darn colonists! Pulling their homeland into a silly war with the French and the Indians... they're going to repay the massive debt they've put us in!! But how?
  • A sugar tax shall be mandated under the... Sugar Act! Proof of paying the paper tax will have to be made with a stamp... it shall be called the Stamp Act!
  • I've got it! I shall tax the goods they buy the most! They're still British over there... surely they won't mind financing their own nation. Everyone buys sugar and paper products. I'll start there!
  • Two years later... Meanwhile, back in England...
  • We had to repeal the Stamp Act! PM Grenville's replacement and my new government's leader have failed me! Chancellor, what now?
  • Simply smashing! Let's tax it all.
  • Great Scot! They did WHAT?!?
  • Keep taxing paper! Add a glass tax! Lead tax! Paint! Tea! And let's end all that unpatriotic smuggling the colonists do!
  • This rebellion must come to an end. Strict punishments! Close the Port of Boston! Quarter our troops in American homes! Close down this self-legislature nonsense in MA!
  • One year later...

  • I can't believe this! My tea won't sell! How am I supposed to live?
  • We had to defend ourselves!
  • Enough is enough! These acts are intolerable! We're having a Continental Congress, and we're going to send King George a message!

  • A letter? For me? From the colonists? How quaint!
  • They're too rowdy over there! They're nothing like us anymore!
  • Just a few moments later...
  • Ha! They've drawn up a list of colonial rights! Charming!
  • Maybe they can tax themselves at our discretion... but they're not uniting, that's for sure.
  • To be continued...
